Your Questions Answered
With continuous advancements happening in the AI space such as OpenAI’s recent release of ChatGPT5, we have compiled your most asked questions regarding AI and of course, we put our own Advancer spin on it.
Question 1: How does AI actually work?
AI has the capability to use data and algorithms allowing machines to learn and adapt to do tasks that once required human intelligence. This is able to be done by analysing data to identify patterns and once those patterns are found, AI is able to predict the response that best fits the task asked of them.
At Advancer, we use AI in a variety of ways. We’ve used it to help clients maximise their profits and increase efficiency through automating tasks such as their interaction with clients.
Question 2: What's the difference between Narrow AI, General AI, and Super AI?
Narrow (Weak AI):This AI is designed to do well-defined tasks. For example chatbots and recommendation systems. At Advancer we have the ability to create and integrate this type of AI into your business.
General AI (Strong AI): this type of AI possesses human-level cognitive capabilities. At this point the AI currently being used is narrow making this type of AI hypothetical.
Super AI: This is even more theoretical as it is an imagined AI that in all areas will surpass human intelligence
Question 3. Will AI replace human jobs?
AI will replace human jobs, particularly tasks that involve repetitive activities such as data entry. At Advancer, when we integrate AI automation, agents and chatbots into your company’s existing technological infrastructure, we make sure that your team understands the technology. We further facilitate this transition through being upskilled which is thanks to our People and Change pillar of the business.
Question 4. Are autonomous AI agents safe?
Autonomous AI agents are able to have a higher level of independence and interpret any data, learn and change their behaviour based on these learnings. One major concern from autonomous AI is the ability to access data that is sensitive such as employee data and financial records which could lead to misuse of data or exposure.
Question 5. What are the current trends in AI for 2025?
Some of the current top trends in AI include:
Increase in generative AI
AI agents will have their sophistication increased
Increase in multimodal AI
An increase in AI being created for healthcare
Question 6. Are we close to achieving Artificial General Intelligence?
No. Although, there have been increasingly strong advancements in the AI space, which now integrates AI voice and video over text and image processing, there is still a long way to go. There are many AI researchers saying that it would be capable in 2040, some even saying 2060. In comparison to (which mentioned 2030 as the year for AGI), this is a long way away. However, if this Artificial General Intelligence, which is typically defined as 80% of human functionality, were to be achieved we can’t really even say what that would look like as human capacity continues to improve.
