General AI (Strong AI): this type of AI possesses human-level cognitive capabilities. This allows the AI to understand, adapt and apply an expansive variety of humans. At this point the AI currently being used is narrow making this type of AI hypothetical.

Super AI: This is even more theoretical as it is an imagined A I that in all areas will surpass human intelligence.

  • AI will change human jobs, particularly tasks that involve repetitive activities such as data entry. However, that does not mean humans won’t have a job. One major concern from from autonomous AI is the ability to access data that is sensitive such as employee data and financial records which could lead to misuse of data or exposure.

  • No, we are not close to reaching Artificial General Intelligence. Although, there have been increasingly strong advancements in the AI space, which now integrates AI voice and video over text and image processing, there is still a long way to go. There are many AI researchers saying that it would be capable in 2040, some even saying 2060. In comparison to (which mentioned 2030 as the year for AGI), this is a long way away. However, if this Artificial General Intelligence, which is typically defined as 80% of human functionality, were to be achieved we can’t really even say what that would look like as human capacity continues to improve.
